There are books, fiction and movies that have a story within a story. Like a Russian doll.
I can think of some; they’re Chicago Typewriter and Rang De Basanti. Both are stories within stories. While the former is a Korean television series, the latter is an Indian film.

The most important thing is that both series focus on freedom fighters: Chicago Typewriter revolves around the Korean Freedom War, whereas Rang De Basanti depicts the struggle of Indians against the British, if I speak loosely.
(While we are discussing these movies, you can listen the wonderful tracks of these movies as well: the title track of Rang De Basanti and Come With me OST from Chicago Typewriter.)
What do you think? Do you know about more such movies, books, or series?
If so, feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
A story in a story is called…
You can call such stories an embedded narrative or simply a nested story.
Why are we discussing this?
I am currently working on a similar project. This project can be described as a book, a novella, or a narrative that encapsulates a narrative within a narrative.
I will continue to update you all on the progress of this story of mine.
Let’s call this “Project SWAS.”
